Then, I realized I did have some fruits available and they could be used for wind cold conditions. So I made a fruits decoction. After I drank this fruits decoction, I sweated a little bit and my headache was relieved immediately. I was able to return back to sleep.
I thought this could be a good home remedy for everyone to make at home in winter for treating early stage of wind cold, or general prevention of common cold in winter after you coming from outside (the cold). It taste like fruits punch so children can drink as well.
- a bowl of mixed berries ( I used frozen berries because that what I had available at that time)
- an apple
- a kiwi
- 3-5 slides of ginger root
- 3 pieces of peppermint leaves (or 1 drop of peppermint essential oil)
- 1 piece of tangerine peel (optional)
- three to four cups of water
cook to boil, and serve when it is hot.
How do you differentiate what is wind cold?
if you feel chill, aversion to wind and cold, without sweat, but having body-ache or headache.
If you don't know how to identify wind cold symptoms, just in generally, it is good to have this fruits drink in the winter after you coming home from outside (cold weather). It helps you to expel wind cold air from your skin via light sweat and prevent you from catching cold.
