The weather has been great this week. However, the changes of weather from 60 to 90 degree within a day, could easily affect some people having common cold especially children and older adults. We all know the common cold is an acute viral infection of the upper respiratory tract. According to the Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is caused by the pathogenic factors such as cold, dampness, wind or even damp heat obstructing the upper respiratory tract. These pathogenic factors could enter our body via our skin pores, occipital head/neck area, and others. I understand this may sound strange to you. I will try to explain it another time because it could be a lengthy post. Today, I would like to share few things we should do to prevent catching cold during this season.
